The seminar “Fertility 2004” will describe the basic fertility requirements and the basic investigation done by an expert in the field. Thereafter, the rationale for different treatments will be exposed and discussed with examples. The modern approach to “Fertility 2004” will be explained stressing the medical applications of the latest scientific discoveries.

The so-called “Physiological Aging” will be discussed in relation to reproduction and suggested solutions will be submitted.

Finally the ethical problems of “Fertility 2004” will be raised and the public will be invited to an open discussion.

Dr. Dov Goldstein is a Reproductive Endocrinologist with subspecialty fellowships at S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center, Columbia University, Yale-New Haven, and Jone’s Institute. He had a research fellowship with Robert G. Edwards, PhD, the father of the first invitro fertilization baby.

He is an attending at St. Lukes’s/Roosevelt Hospital and an Associate in OB/GYN with Columbia University. Dr. Goldstein claims more that 600 children are born through assisted reproduction (A.R.T.) in his clinic at The West Side Fertility Center in Manhattan.
